Established in 2021, Wonder in the Wild is a non-profit 501(c)(3) located on the sandy shores of the Chesapeake on Kent Island.  Our home is 160 acres of woods and waterfront run by Camp Wright.

Our mission is to build upon a child’s innate sense of wonder and passion for play that is present when exploring outdoors to inspire curiosity, life-long learning, environmental stewardship, and community connection.

We accomplish this mission by providing programming that combines child-led nature play and environmental education.  Young explorers (students), their families, and our guides (teachers) create a welcoming community where we can all explore, play, and grow together.
