Katey Nelson
Director
Katey Nelson, has 15+ years of experience leading environmental and outdoor education programs and 20+ years of child care experience. She holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching, previously ran a licensed child care center and holds all required certificates to serve as a director, participates in training provided by the Eastern Region Association of Forest & Nature Schools, is a member of the Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education, and is a lifetime Girl Scout.

When not running around with Wonder in the Wild explorers, Katey likes to spend time with her husband, Adam, and their dog, Maple. The family loves hiking, camping, and exploring Maryland and beyond.
